A Space Where Children Thrive
Our preschool is based at Tringham Village Hall in West End, Woking, a bright and spacious setting that gives children plenty of room to explore, play and learn. The large village hall provides a calm and welcoming environment, while our private outdoor garden offers daily opportunities for fresh air and active play.
The space is thoughtfully organised to support children at different stages of development, creating an environment where they feel safe, capable and inspired to learn.
Indoor Spaces
At Currents, we believe the environment is the third teacher. Our indoor spaces are carefully designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and exploration. With open-ended resources, natural materials, and thoughtfully arranged areas, children are encouraged to investigate, create, and problem-solve at their own pace. Every corner of our setting invites discovery, supports learning through play and celebrates each child’s unique strengths and interests. We also ensure children are supported safely and effectively by following statutory staff-to-child ratios: 1:5 for 2 year olds and 1:8 for 3 year olds.
Outdoor Provision
We are fortunate to have access to a private garden space alongside the hall, giving children the opportunity to enjoy outdoor play every day.
Our outdoor environment encourages children to move, explore and connect with nature. Children can run, climb, investigate and engage in physical play that supports their strength, coordination and overall wellbeing.
In addition, we benefit from a large recreational field and park right on our doorstep, which we regularly use for walks, nature exploration and active play. These experiences help children develop their physical confidence, curiosity about the natural world, and an awareness of their local community.
Outdoor learning is an important part of our day, providing opportunities for children to take safe risks, build resilience and extend their learning beyond the classroom.
