Here at Currents, we believe childhood is a time to explore, discover and shine in your own way. Every child comes with their own strengths and our job is to notice them, celebrate them and help them grow.
The name Currents comes from the idea that every child moves at their own pace, in their own direction, just like a fish swimming in water. Every child is on their own current and our role is to support them in swimming confidently along their own path.
We are ambitious for children, but ambition does not mean comparison. Just because I cannot kick a football into the goal from the hallway line does that mean I am behind as an adult? Of course not. And the same is true for children. We celebrate what they can do. We build from their strengths. We help them feel secure and capable. When those foundations are in place, everything else follows.
